    Rhodolite, whose name comes from Greek and means pink stone,
is pink or pinkish-red and possesses good transparency. It is almost always polished in facets, generally in mixed carves. The lack of pleochroism distinguishes it from the Corundum and the Rubellite, and to distinguish it from the Spinel, it is necessary to evaluate the physical properties for a perfect differentiation. It is not imitated nor produced synthetically.
